As the world is shrinking, it has become very common to like and adapt western cultural traditions and practices.  At SKIMT we celebrate Indian and local festivals with our own rituals and traditions in order to imbibe our culture and traditions in students. Students come in our traditional attire and decorate SKIMT campus in the traditional way and celebrate our festivals like Pongal, Golu and many more.

Besides festivals, occasions such as birthdays / anniversary / Centenary of historically significant people or national heroes and proclaimed national / world days such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Women’s Day, Teachers’ Day, are celebrated with specially organised events and competitions involving debates and speeches in order to reinforce the values for which they stood and to establish proper moorings with our cultural heritage in students. Founder’s day is also celebrated providing the opportunity for having interactions with the founder of SKIMT and thanking him.

Alumni Day - Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution's success. SKIMT nurtures a close rapport with its Diaspora for the benefit of its students and celebrates Alumni Day every year where the alumnae and alumni of SKIMT interact with students through games & competitions and events organised by the students.
